NE District Sponsorship Policy
Definition of
Sponsorship The
Northeastern District of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association
acknowledges that various organizations and individuals are
interested in supporting the Northeastern District through
sponsorship of various district activities, and the Northeastern
District would like to solicit individuals or organizations to
sponsor Northeastern District Activities. The purpose of this
policy is to provide an avenue for such support. Eligible
Sponsors Eligible sponsors are those individuals or
organizations who comply with the ethical standards of the American
Physical Therapy Association, Inc., and the policies and positions
of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association, Inc., and the
Northeastern District. Levels of
Sponsorship(4) Responsibilities: The
Platinum Sponsor agrees to financially support 90-100% of the total
expenditures of a Northeastern District Activity Benefits: 1.The Platinum Sponsor will be acknowledged
equally with the Northeastern District on all printed documents used
for the activity 2.The Platinum Sponsor can be assured that he
will not share sponsorship with any other individual or group except
for the Northeastern District for the activity sponsored. 3. The Platinum Sponsor will receive an ad on
the Northeastern District Web-site, and a link on our web-site to
their web-site Responsibilities: The Gold
Sponsor agrees to financially support 75-89% of the total
expenditures of a Northeastern District Activity Benefits: 1.The Gold Sponsor will be acknowledged equally
with the Northeastern District on all printed documents used for the
activity 2.The Gold Sponsor can be assured that he will
not share sponsorship with any other individual or group except for
the Northeastern District for the activity sponsored. 3. The Gold Sponsor will receive an ad on the
Northeastern District Web-site, and a link on our web-site to their
web-site Responsibilities: The Silver
sponsor agrees to financially support 50%-74% of the total
expenditures of the sponsored activity. Benefits: 1. The Silver sponsor will be acknowledged
equally with a second silver sponsor or up to 2 Bronze Sponsors and
the Northeastern District on all documents used for the activity.
2. The Silver Sponsor will receive an ad on the
Northeastern District Web-site, and a link on our web-site to their
web-site. Bronze Sponsor Responsibilities: 1.Sponsor agrees to financially support 25%
of the total expenditures of the sponsored activity or 2.Provide material goods for Eastern
District Activities including, but not limited space, equipment,
refreshments. Benefits 1.Bronze sponsors will receive recognition
on all documents used for the sponsored activity and acknowledgement
during the sponsored activity. Policy Guidelines:

Total sponsorship shall not exceed
100% of the total expenditures of any activity sponsored.
ü
The sponsor’s only involvement in the
sponsored activity is financial. Sponsors are not meant to be
involved in the planning, content, or execution of any Northeastern
District Activity
ü
All profits from the Sponsored
activity will go to the Northeastern District for use as the
Northeastern District sees fit
ü
Documents used for the sponsored
activity included brochures or fliers advertising the activity or
handouts used for the sponsored activity.
ü
Advertisements and links placed on the
Northeastern District web site shall begin as soon as possible after
payment for sponsorship has been received and continue for 6 months. Procedure
for Sponsorship 1. The committee chair or officer responsible
for the activity being sponsored will coordinate sponsorship. 2. The committee chair or officer responsible
for the activity shall determine the eligibility of the sponsor. If
there is doubt about a sponsor’s eligibility the committee or
officer will consult with the Northeastern District Board of
Directors. a. Approval for sponsorship
will be made on an activity by activity basis b. Sponsorship will be
considered on a first come first serve basis 3. The committee/officer and the potential
sponsor will determine the level and dollar amount of sponsorship. 4. The sponsorship form will be completed and
signed by the committee Chair/officer of the Northeastern District
responsible for the activity and the sponsor. The committee
chair/officer will forward a copy of the sponsor form to the Chair
of the Northeastern District. In addition, a copy will be provided
to the committee chair/ officer responsible for the activity and the
sponsor, as well as the Sponsor. 5. It is preferred that the sponsor pay the
amount agreed upon prior to the sponsored activity. 6.Expenses that exceed the agreed upon amount
will be the responsibility of the Northeastern District. | ||||||
